The street lighting renewal work started for this year in Varkaus. Renewing the street lights will last whole summer time. HSK Sähkö employed local labor and few electricians left also from Kalajoki.

The light equipment and the pillars of lights are changed for modern, energy efficient lamps of Philips. At the same time the old overhead lines are changed into the country cabling.
